Donnybrook Hardware & Garden is an Award Winning Family Owned and Run Business that prides itself on offering its customers personalised, knowledgeable and friendly service.
Donnybrook Hardware & Garden is owned by Glen and Kim Miller and was started in 2000 at their old premises at 108 South West Hwy under their previous name of Donnybrook Hardware & Rural.
In 2002 they moved across the road to ‘Simper’s’ and they have been expanding their business ever since. Joined by their daughter Liz Miller, the family run operation started with a staff of one and has grown to a staff of 10.
Starting as a Thrifty Link Hardware they won back to back THRIFTY LINK WA Store of the Year Awards in 2002/2003 and 2003/2004. A Garden Centre was added in 2004 which added a wonderful new side to the business.
Growing Bigger
In 2011 Glen and Kim doubled the size of the retail floor and changed from a Thrifty Link to a HOME Hardware Store. This allowed a wider range of products to be supplied and a more in depth ranging in all departments.
In 2015 Donnybrook Hardware & Garden were awarded the WA HOME Hardware Store of the Year (over 1000m2). In March 2016 they won the award again, which was a wonderful accomplishment and recognition for the changes that have been made over the recent years.
In 2018 Donnybrook Hardware and Garden decided to go Independent and left the HOME group. Since then they have grown and increased all areas of the store - always trying to improve the range and shopping experience.
Serving Our Customers
In March 2018 Donnybrook Hardware & Garden changed again to become a wholly Independent Hardware & Garden Centre removing the HOME Banner and instead becoming part of the Australian Wide Network HBT – Home & Building Traders.
Donnybrook Hardware & Garden continue to strive towards giving their customers the best in customer service and shopping experience. We are continually investing in new and interesting products to increase and update our product offerings.
